Deadlines
Three deadlines from one date
Everything runs from the end of the company's accounting period. Annual accounts go to Companies House within 9 months (21 months from registration for the first accounts). Corporation Tax is payable 9 months and 1 day after the period ends. The Company Tax Return (CT600) is due 12 months after it.
The confirmation statement is separate: it's due at least once every 12 months from incorporation or your last statement date, with 14 days to file after the review period ends.
The director's loan account
If a director who is also a shareholder owes the company money at the year end and it isn't repaid within 9 months, the company pays Corporation Tax on the outstanding amount and reports it on form CT600A. The tax is repaid once the loan is cleared, but not before 9 months and 1 day after the end of the period in which it was repaid.
