These terms apply to your use of www.countify.co.uk (the "Site"). The Site is operated by SK and Company Accountants Ltd, trading as Countify, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC589649, with registered office at 3rd Floor, St. Georges Building, 5 St. Vincent Place, Glasgow, G1 2DH.

If you become a client, separate engagement terms set out in your engagement letter will govern the services we provide. Those terms take precedence over these Site terms for all client work.

2. Accepting these terms

By using the Site you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.

3. Information on the Site

All content on the Site is provided for general information purposes only. Nothing on this Site constitutes professional accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and no content on the Site should be relied upon as such.

Tax laws, regulations and HMRC guidance change frequently. While we make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this Site accurate and up to date, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, that the content is accurate, complete, current or fit for any particular purpose.

4. Intellectual property

These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the law of Scotland. You and we both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or their subject matter.

SK and Company Accountants Ltd (trading as Countify) is regulated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Our ACCA firm registration number is 4549994.

ACCA is a globally recognised professional accountancy body. ACCA-regulated firms are subject to ACCA's Code of Ethics and Conduct, professional standards and continuing professional development requirements.

10. Professional indemnity insurance

SK and Company Accountants Ltd holds professional indemnity insurance as required by ACCA. Our professional indemnity insurance provides cover in respect of claims arising from the professional services we provide to clients under our engagement terms.

11. Complaints procedure

We are committed to providing a high standard of service. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, we want to hear from you so we can put things right.

What happens next

  • We will acknowledge your complaint in writing within 5 business days of receipt.
  • We will investigate your complaint thoroughly and respond in full within 28 days. If we need longer, we will write to explain why and give you a revised timescale.
  • If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to ACCA.

SK and Company Accountants Ltd is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZA683204.

When you submit information through this Site, for example via our contact or quote request forms, we use that information solely to respond to your enquiry and, where you have consented, to send you relevant information about our services.

13. Overseas contractors

Some of the professional work carried out on behalf of clients is performed by authorised contractors based outside the United Kingdom. We recruit and engage contractors services in Pakistan, who carry out professional work including bookkeeping, accounts preparation, payroll processing and administrative tasks under our direct supervision and in accordance with our professional standards.

All work carried out by our overseas contractors is performed under our instruction and responsibility. Our professional obligations to clients including confidentiality, accuracy and compliance with HMRC and ACCA standards apply equally to all work regardless of where it is performed. Overseas contractors are subject to contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations consistent with our obligations under UK GDPR.

Access to client data by overseas contractors is strictly controlled and limited to what is necessary to carry out the specific work assigned.
